Our Light Wallet needs to run a full Ethereum Node. That is one of the reasons we have a partnership with Infura.io. This is a short description from our wiki:
SingularDTV partnership with INFURA.io:
"INFURA takes care of Ethereum node hosting, scaling and securing, it could be called a nodes cluster as a service. From the perspective of the end-user INFURA is invisible and simply saves them from running a node locally which helps the SingularDTV Light Wallet user to avoid running their own Ethereum node (keeping full copy of the ethereum Blockchain) while using the Wallet."
They has a small issue last night and this is what we got from INFURA:
"there was a period of approx 45 minutes last night where one of our mainnet nodes was in a degraded state but was still attempting to serve traffic. This caused a portion of requests to infura to return errors until we were able to correct the issue. That was likely the cause of the issues that were reported. Sorry for the disruption."
This does not endanger the value stored in their wallets in any way!!
All the best,
